Long-time Nintendo Power readers may remember this gem: a fully orchestrated, live album of music from Super Smash Bros. Melee by the New Japan Philharmonic given as a gift to subscribers. Smashing…Live! was a special album, and featured some amazing performances. One of our personal favourite tracks was the Fever theme from Dr. Mario, sounding perfect with a full symphony.
I’m aware I’m a relatively unknown individual, let alone artist, but things have crept up on me thanks to my college yet again dropping the ball like it was a nuclear game of hot potato and said potato was in fact replaced with plutonium. Long story short, I am in a tight time frame to make a payment on something, but I don’t like the thought of just going “gibe moni plz, huehuehue.”
So instead I’d like to offer my meager services of sprite creation. The asking price right now is 8 dollars for a single pixel piece, and I have two rather odd examples to roll with off the bat here.
If you want something simpler I’m certainly game for talking numbers but we’d have to do so in private.
(By the way, both of those characters are based on work by my good friend Deif, who’s working on his own tabletop system. I did these both as freebies for samples for folks.)
Basically if you want something monstrous sprited I’m ready and willing, and other things too if you’d like, just nothing NSFW as it’s just not my area of expertise and my naked people would look like misshapen lumps of clay that would make Quasimodo from the Hunchback of Notredame go “Dude, wtf?”
ANYWAYS! If you are interested, please by all means let me know via PM and we can work out details! Thank you for your time!
brawl is probably going to go down as the weirdest smash bros game
like it simultaneously wanted to be casual by making everything slower and floatier and wanted to be hardcore by making everything duller and darker and dingier and adding solid snake. there’s a huge story mode but instead of using nintendo’s (and sonic’s and metal gear’s) many memorable worlds and enemies it included a series of drab, realistic environments and forgettable enemies. it ended with sonic saving all of nintendo’s heroes from their impending deaths. it invented the new version of the kid icarus universe that we know today. it made an nes accessory playable. it for some reason featured a list of every nintendo game ever that you could read through, not that anyone did. jigglypuff’s final smash just makes her slowly inflate. luigi’s final smash cannot be explained with logic, luigi just has this weird aura for no apparent reason. there was a stage builder with only three generic locations. it put silver the hedgehog in green hill zone. otacon and snake had codec calls about every character in the game. it had the great maze. it turned level 1-1 into a post-apocalyptic wasteland and added tripping
